Q: Does the sink have to be in the cabinet first in order for my installer to measure and cut?

A: Yes, almost always the sink should be positioned in the cabinet with the plumbing connected before installing the countertop.

Q: How do you mount an apron sink?

A: Apron sinks are mounted to the countertop on only 3 sides while the face remains exposed. Many people create a platform for the sink to sit on and then fabricate and install the countertop. It’s typical to have the sink in place first so your professional can template it in its final position. The platform should be set the sinks height (10″) below the top of the cabinet. (ie. 10″ below the cabinet height)

Q: What size cabinet does this fit?

A: We recommend a minimum of 36″ apron sink base cabinet.
