A colander is a kitchen utensil used to strain foods such as pasta or rice or to rinse vegetables. The perforated nature of the colander allows liquid to drain through while retaining the solids inside. It is sometimes also called a pasta strainer or kitchen sieve. Our colanders are made of stainless steel and have wood trim easy-to-grab handles. This Colander is designed to fit on workstation shelves or over the sink with the edge resting gently on countertop.
